The California Native Plant Society is dedicated to conserving California native plants and their natural habitats, while increasing the understanding, enjoyment, and horticultural use of native plants. EDI partnered with the San Diego Chapter by providing native milkweed outreach materials at their San Diego Native Plant Festival held in October 2021.

Moosa Creek is a local wholesale and retail native plant nursery, whose mission is to transform California landscapes, one plant at a time. Moosa Creek offers plants to EDI at wholesale prices to support our annual native plant sale.

The San Diego National Wildlife Refuge encompasses nearly 12,000 acres of conserved land in eastern San Diego County. For over a decade, EDI has partnered with the refuge on environmental education programs, outreach events, and public stewardship projects such as habitat restoration, trail maintenance, and species recovery.

The Water Conservation Garden's mission is to educate and inspire through excellent exhibits and programs that promote water conservation and the sustainable use of related natural resources. The Garden's 6-acre site in Rancho San Diego includes various types of gardens as well as a butterfly pavilion. EDI partnered with the Water Conservation Garden by providing native milkweed outreach materials and native plants for sale at their November 2021 Festival.

The Wildlife Conservation Board selects, authorizes, and allocates funds for the purchase of land and waters suitable for recreation purposes and the preservation, protection and restoration of wildlife habitat. In November 2021, WCB awarded EDI $484,000 for a 15-acre habitat restoration project on the El Monte Preserve in Lakeside. Our partnership with WCB has just begun, but we look forward to continuing it for many years and to many successful outcomes!
