Nature Discovery Camp
Outdoor summer camps are the perfect way for kids to unplug from screens, forge new friendships, and create lasting memories - all while exploring the beauty of nature!
New in 2025, EDI is offering a weekly outdoor summer camp for children ages 8-12! Hosted at the enchanting Crestridge Ecological Reserve in El Cajon, campers will transform into young scientists as they embark on an exciting quest to uncover the wild wonders of nature. Through exploration, fun games, creative art projects, and interactive team-building activities, they'll deepen their connection to the natural world.
Each session* runs Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM, with each day focusing on a different lesson:
Monday: Super Science
Tuesday: Wild Watersheds
Wednesday: Habitats & Pollinators
Thursday: Pollution Solutions
Friday: Camping 101
*The week of Fourth of July will only be Monday through Thursday. Since there is one less day of fun learning adventures, the cost for that week will be prorated.
This program is designed as a single-week, 5-day experience. Families are welcome to register their child(ren) for more than one session, but activities repeat weekly.
