We will explore the native pollinator gardens and habitats at Crestridge Ecological Reserve, and discuss native milkweeds, why they are important, and how to grow narrowleaf milkweed from seed. Participants will be given the San Diego Pollinator Alliance Toolkit brochure and a small package of narrowleaf milkweed seeds to add to their own yards/gardens.
This event will be limited to 20 participants, registration is needed to attend. Regstration will close at noon on June 22nd.
We will follow current Covid protocols, and practice social distancing. We ask that you wear a face mask if you are not vaccinated. There will be a presentation followed by a short hike through the pollinator gardens at the Reserve. You will learn about native pollinators and host plants and/or nectar plants, and explore flower phenology and which plants provide food at different times of the year.
