Volunteer Events

Volunteers are making a valuable contribution to habitat improvement in a time when agencies are struggling to find adequate resources to care for their lands. You can be a part of this rewarding work.

EDI coordinates single and ongoing volunteer work events with our conservation partners. Individuals and groups are welcome to participate in all events. (Click here to view list of events.) We can also arrange for special adult and/or youth volunteer work events for specific groups.

To be notified of all upcoming events or to make arrangements for a special group event, please provide us with your contact information and a brief message about your interest.

EDI coordinates weekly volunteer conservation work crews in two locations, Crest and Jamul. These crews work on long-term and more complex projects. The Jamul crew works on lands of CDFG, BLM, USFWS and TNC in the Jamul/Rancho San Diego/Dulzura area on Mondays from 8am-11am.The Crest crew works with EHC in the Crestridge Ecological Reserve Complex on Fridays from 8am-11am.
