City Nature Challenge kickoff at San Diego National Wildlife Refuge

The first day of the 2019 City Nature Challenge can be started with a stop at the San Diego National Wildlife Refuge! We’ll have an Earth Discovery Institute canopy up on the Sweetwater River Interpretation Loop off SR94/Campo Road and Singer Lane. 8am till noon. Introduction to the City Nature Challenge, how to be a citizen scientist participant using iNaturalist, how to hook-up with a bioblitz team, general information about the refuge, and volunteer opportunities. Everyone is welcome, whether you are a contributor to iNaturalist or not. This is your chance to mix technology and taxonomy and learn about your wild backyard along the way!
