Intro to Phenology at SDNWR

  • Singer Lane Rancho San Diego, CA United States (map)

Even here in San Diego, we can explore the science of seasons. Join EDI staff and volunteers at the San Diego National Wildlife Refuge March 23rd from 4:30pm to 6:30pm and discover the science of phenology—The scientific study of cyclical biological events, such as flowering, breeding, and migration, in relation to seasons and climatic conditions. You'll learn to use the Nature's Notebook app (https://www.usanpn.org/nn/become-observer) to contribute phenological observations to a national data base. The NN app allows users to document phenology and become an observer for the National Phenology Network. Please download this FREE app to your mobile device (cell phone or tablet) before you join us on March 23rd. Contact EDI at info@earthdiscovery.org for more information.
